A group of around 50 people have signed up to participate in an experimental ‘Community Value Exchange’, a 6-month guided process where they’ll pool skills, knowledge, time and resources within a community of peers, all attempting to shift and distribute power in different but complementary ways.
Whilst our emphasis is on the wide and varied array of resources that we can exchange as a community, we have £50-£60k from Lankelly Chase that we can distribute to support this process.
The Community Value Exchange builds on our previous Power Shift: Learning Cohort and aims to further demonstrate the power of facilitated structures to remove obstacles to, and create opportunities for, transformation of governance and shifting of power.
We have shaped the exchange through 3 X exploratory sessions with a range of people and organisations, to understand their live challenges and develop ideas for how wisdom and other assets can be meaningfully exchanged.
We issued an open invitation to people and organisations willing to this process over the remainder of the year. The deadline for sign-up has now passed and we have launched the process.
